Michael Sobol, D.D.S. | General & Cosmetic
Dr. Sobol graduated from the University of Maryland, School of Dentistry in 2002. His commitment to excellence led him to contend for and complete the Advanced Education in General Dentistry Residency Program (AEGD) at the University of Maryland, School of Dentistry in 2003. His advanced training ensures he can provide his guests with not only all of their General and Cosmetic Dentistry needs, but also with specialty services in the areas of Implantology, Endodontics, Oral Surgery and Periodontics.
After graduation, Dr. Sobol focused his energy on perfecting his craft as an Associate Dentist in the Baltimore area. In 2005 he joined Dr. Ira Bloom at Premier Dental Care. With the retirement of Dr. Bloom in 2010, Dr. Sobol became the sole owner of Premier Dental Care.
Committed to providing our guests with state of the art dentistry, Dr. Sobol continues to pursue advanced education in the art and science of dentistry with a focus on cosmetic dentistry, implantology, endodontics and sleep apnea. He has trained at the Doctor’s Organization for Conscious Oral Sedation (DOCs), Zimmer Institute, SomnoMed Academy, completed a 2-year and continum in orthodontics. He is a member of the Maimonides Study Club. He has introduced implants, conscious oral sedation dentistry, life-saving oral cancer detection technology, and the treatment of sleep apnea to our guests at Premier Dental Care.
Dr. Sobol is proud to welcome patients to a practice where real caring and compassion combine with education and experience to provide the best in dental care. His philosophy of service to his guests along with the support of a hand-picked, knowledgeable team creates excellence in both guest care and clinical results.
Dr. Sobol enjoys spending time with his wife Shana, his daughters, extended family and friends. At any given time, you can find Dr. Sobol helping his wife Shana by driving carpool, helping the girls with homework or on those rare occasions – enjoying some quiet time!
Aron Turner, D.D.S.
A native of Los Angeles, California, Dr. Aron Turner came to Maryland in 2005, where he attended the University of Maryland, School of Dentistry, receiving his degree in 2009. While there, he was a member of OKU (Omicron Kappa Upsilon) National Honor Society in Dentistry, Gamma Pi Delta (Prosthodontics Honors Society), and the Gorgas Odontological Honorary Society. After graduating, Dr. Turner completed his General Practice Residency at VA Baltimore Medical Center in the fields of Hospital Dentistry, Dental Implants, and General Dentistry. From 2010-2012 he continued his training for Oral Surgery at the University of Maryland Medical Center, where he gained skills in dental and maxillofacial trauma, complex dental extraction, pre-prosthetic surgery, implantology, medically compromised patients, and general anesthesia.
He brings his extensive knowledge and advanced skills to Premier Dental Care, to serve the community and promote the importance of excellent dental health.
When he’s not seeing patients, Dr. Turner enjoys being with his family. His wife, Zahava, also serves the medical community, working as a pediatric dietitian for Johns Hopkins Hospital Children’s Center. In addition to spending time with Zahava, their two sons, and daughter, Dr. Turner volunteers as a mentor for the Senator Ben Cardin Jewish Scholars Program.
Nathaniel Fogel, D.D.S.
Dr. Nathaniel Fogel was born and raised in Queens, NY. Blessed with a love of tinkering, a knack for repairs, a flair for the sciences, and a sociable personality, he attended dental school at the University of Maryland. After graduating in 2012, he completed an advanced education in general dentistry (AEGD) in 2013. He is associated with the Maryland State Dental Association, Howard County Dental Association, American Dental Association, and Maimonides Dental Study Club.
Dr. Fogel works in family and cosmetic dentistry offices across the Baltimore area, where he enthusiastically cares for patients of all ages with his trademark passion, precision, and pleasant demeanor.
Dr. Fogel lives in Baltimore with his wife Ayelet and their children, Daniella and Tamir. When he’s out of the office, he enjoys baking his own artisanal bread with an appreciation for the scientific aspect of cooking, roots for the Islanders and Jets, and rides his bike – he’s participated in several long-distance rides for charity.
Moshe Stern, D.D.S., M.S. | Orthodontist
Dr. Stern was born and raised in NY and moved to Maryland in 2000 to attend Ner Israel Rabbinical College where he received his Master’s Degree in Talmudic Law in 2006. While attending rabbinical college he participated in a duel curriculum program with Towson University where he took his prerequisite classes to prepare for dental school. He was then accepted to University of Maryland Dental School where he graduated at the top of his class, Magna Cum Laude. Upon graduation, Dr. Stern was inducted into the Omicron Kappa Upsilon (OKU) national dental honor society. He was chosen for this honor by his faculty based on his exemplary character and academic achievements. Dr. Stern continued at the University of Maryland to complete his orthodontic training where he served as chief resident for the program. During his residency he completed original research in orthodontic adhesives earning him a Masters in Biomedical Sciences.
Dr. Stern has served on the John Hopkins Cleft palate team and has lectured both at the university and at local study clubs. Always trying to provide his patients with the best treatment options available Dr. Stern has traveled across the country to receive additional training in the most contemporary orthodontic techniques. He is a certified provider of Wilkodontics® Accelerated Osteogenic OrthodonticsTM, Invisalign®, and is trained in the Six Elements of Orofacial Harmony, with additional training in its application to Orthognathic surgical planning. The “Six Elements of Orofacial Harmony” pioneered by Dr. Larry Andrews emphasizes a comprehensive view of the face, teeth, jaws, and joints, to achieve optimal health, function, and facial esthetics. Dr. Stern currently serves as president of the Maimonides Dental Study Club located in Pikesville, MD.
Among Dr. Stern’s many achievements, in 2015 and 2016 was named as a Top Dentist by Baltimore Magazine.
Dr. Stern believes in giving back to the community and has participated in a wide range of community service ranging from the Special Olympics to Quest for Care (dental fund for the indigent). He is an active member of the American Association of Orthodontists, Mid Atlantic Society of Orthodontists, Maryland State Society of Orthodontists, as well as the American Dental Association.
Dr. Stern is known not only for his skill as an orthodontist, but for his charismatic personality, his warmth, and concern for all. He is well liked by his patients, staff and peers. At heart, he is very much a family man and enjoys spending his time off with his wife Barbara and their four wonderful children.
Martin Leybovich, D.D.S., M.S.D. | Periodontics & Dental Implants
Dr. Leybovich grew up in Brooklyn, NY and attended Touro College where he graduated Suma Cum Laude in 2004 with a Bachelors in Science in Biology. In 2010, he completed his dental training at the University of Maryland Dental School. Dr. Leybovich was involved in reinstituting the Periodontology Clerkship at the dental school and was selected to the Gorgas Odontological Honor Society. In June 2013, he completed his Periodontal and Implant residency training at Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland, OH.
During his residency, Dr. Leybovich was selected as a student ambassador to the American Academy of Periodontology Foundation and in his final year of residency, he was selected as Chief Resident. During his training, Dr. Leybovich placed specific focus on providing periodontal treatment as part of one’s comprehensive treatment plan and also emphasized treating the individual as a whole and not just fixing isolated periodontal problems. In addition, the data from his master’s thesis is awaiting publication in an internationally renowned periodontal and restorative journal. Dr. Leybovich is able to provide all the various periodontal surgical treatment modalities including: periodontal resective pocket elimination surgery, crown lengthening, regenerative surgery (with and without the use of biologics), periodontal microsurgery, and periodontal plastic surgery. He is trained in all aspects of implant therapy including atraumatic extractions, implant placement, ridge augmentation, and sinus grafting (external and internal). With the popularity of dental implants throughout the dental profession, peri-implantitis (the implant form of periodontitis) has become more prevalent, and thus, Dr. Leybovich has received extensive experience in treating peri-implantitis. In conjunction with an orthodontist, he is also certified in providing Periodontally Accelerated Osteogenic Orthodontics™, whereby orthodontic treatment can be completed two to three times faster than usual. Dr. Leybovich is a member of the American Academy of Periodontology, the Academy of Osseointegration, the American Dental Association, Maryland State Dental Association, and the Alpha Omega Dental Fraternity.
Dr. Leybovich has been married to his lovely wife Lisa since 2005 and they have four wonderful children, 3 boys and a girl. He enjoys spending time with his family and is a very big sports fan. His wife is an echocardiographer who has previously held positions at St. Agnes Hospital in Catonsville, MD and Johns Hopkins University in Baltimore, MD. Their family currently resides in Pikesville, MD where they are active members of the community.
Kim Frock | Front Desk Coordinator
Kim is the other smiling face that our patients see every time they check in or out at our front desk. Not only does Kim greet patients, she also assists with the insurance filings and billings for the practice, as well as filing and other front office tasks. With over 22 years of experience in the dental field, Kim knows a thing or two about getting your paperwork done quickly and efficiently, and also how to get the most out of your dental insurance coverage. She loves the variety of specialties included at our practice, and of course, the people she works with!
When Kim isn’t working, she enjoys babysitting her grandchildren, working out, reading, and being involved in volunteer work through her local church.
Kristi | Front Desk
Kristi joined the Premier Dental Care team in August 2017. You may recognize her smile, assisting patients at the front desk. Kristi received her education at HACC, and has been in the medical field for 10 years. She loves the people she works with and says that the team camaraderie is what sets Premier Dental Care apart from other practices. Kristi’s natural organization skills, friendliness, and patience make her a wonderful addition to the office and front desk team. When she’s not at Premier, she enjoys spending time with her family, playing with her kids, working out, and being outside. Kristi is an active member of Littletown Chapel Church. She and her husband of 10 years reside in Littlestown, PA with their two wonderful boys.
Kristina | Front Desk
Kristina, our newest team member at Premier, joined the Premier Dental Care team in January 2019.This is her first time working in the dentistry field! You’ll see Kristina greeting patients as they arrive and assisting with check-out, scheduling, insurance needs, and helping around the office as needed. After graduating from York College of Pennsylvania in 2015, with a BS in Computer Information Systems, she began working as a project manager at a web design firm. She brings her strong communication and organization skills, which served her well as a project manager, to the Premier Dental team. Kristina believes that being able to communicate is not only important when helping patients, but also when working with colleagues. Her organizational skills are also an asset in regards to scheduling patients and team.
When she is not in the office, you can find her soaking in every minute of being a mom to her 1 year old boy and wife (to her high school sweetheart!). Aside from spending much of her free time with family, she also enjoys movies, going out to dinner, and has recently started creating and designing wooden signs for friends and family.
Kristina says she has truly enjoyed learning the ins and outs of the dentistry field thus far, as it is very different from what she was doing before. She’s also enjoyed the opportunity to interact with the people in our community – our patients and her colleagues. She is happy that this position has given her the chance to be a part of a great team, and we are happy to have her!
Dawn Losego, Q.D.A. | Dental Assistant & Clinical Coordinator
Knowing she wanted to make a difference in lives of people, Dawn pursed a career in dentistry as a Dental Assistant. With certifications as an Expanded Function Dental Assisting and a Radiographic Technologist, she is a licensed Qualified Dental Assistant by the State of Maryland.
Dawn joined Premier Dental Care in 1994, first working with Dr. Ira Bloom for over 16 years. During this time she completed advanced general dentistry education courses at the prestigious Las Vegas Institute (LVI) on Cosmetic Design and Practical Occlusion I & II; the Doctor’s Organization for Conscious Oral Sedation (DOC’s); Mastering Posterior Techniques of Cerec CAD/CAM and Esthetic Inlays and Onlays, just to name a few. Today she works side by side with Dr. Sobol as his professional partner in care and the Clinical Coordinator of the Premier Dental Care Team.
Dawn’s philosophy reflects her great personality – “Doing it right the first time serves our guests well!” Her goal is to ensure all of our guests have an exceptional and rewarding experience each and every time they visit Premier Dental Care. With a beautiful smile and a kind word, she accomplishes this by putting our guests first and making sure they receive only the best care in a timely manner.
Born in Baltimore, Dawn moved to Carroll County with her family in 1982. She graduated from North Carroll High School in 1991. Dawn and her husband, Lenny, together have four children, Alyssia, Trevor, and twins, Chase and Maci. When not at Premier Dental Care, you will find Dawn having fun with her family, cooking and shopping. They live in Littlestown, Pennsylvania.
Megan Powell | Dental Assistant & Office Assistant
Megan is one of the newer faces at the dental office! She trained in the DATS program, where she received her certification in radiology for the State of Maryland, and is currently working towards her State of Maryland QDA (Qualified Dental Assistant) at Carroll Community College. Megan loves working as a dental assistant alongside the Premier team, meeting new patients and building relationships. Because she’s a people-person who wanted to help others, Megan knew that working in the dental field would allow her that opportunity. Megan strives to make everyone’s experience as enjoyable as possible, knowing that some patients come to our practice, having had a less than positive experience.
In addition to assisting our dentists and patients, Megan is also assists the office with marketing. With her outgoing and fun nature, she’s able to go out into the community to meet our neighbors, plan events, and make the office fun for patients!
When Megan isn’t in the office, she loves being with her dogs, riding horses, and doing anything that involves being outdoors.
Elilia | Dental Hygienist
If you’ve met Elilia, you know that she has one of the brightest smiles at Premier! Elilia has always had a passion for dentistry. She loves that she can help give patients beautiful and healthy smiles. Having worked in the dentistry field in Brazil, where she is originally from, Elilia knew she wanted to continue in the same field when she came to the United States 19 years ago. She has a degree from Baltimore Community College, and has been practicing dentistry in the US for over 11 years. Elilia joined Premier Dental in early 2017, and has been a valuable addition. You can’t help but smile when you are around her. She has compassion for all her patients and is determined to make everyone around her laugh and feel loved.
When Elilia is not working at the office, you may find her volunteering with Mission of Mercy, a non-profit organization that provides free healthcare, dental care and prescription medications to the uninsured, underinsured, and those who find themselves “falling through the cracks” within the healthcare system.
In addition to providing care to the community, Elilia enjoys spending time with her family and friends. Whether it’s a BBQ, beach, hiking, dancing, traveling, or karaoke, she’s ready for a fun time! Elilia and her husband live in Westminster with their precious son.
Amber | Dental Hygienist
Amber has been in the dentistry field since 2009, working as a Qualified Dental Assistant (QDA) all through college. She graduated from dental hygiene school in 2016. During her years assisting, she has worked in many specialties, including periodontics, pediatrics, oral surgery, endodontics, and general dentistry. When Amber is not in the office she enjoys hiking, traveling, and spending time with her husband and son, Flynn.
Eryca Ecker | Orthodontic Assistant
Eryca has been an integral member of Dr. Stern’s orthodontic team since early 2015. They joined the practice together, and she loves the level of caring for the patients that every single member of the Premier team exhibits. She enjoys creating that personal relationship with her patients as she assists Dr. Stern with procedures, pours and trims models, and keeps the treatment rooms sanitized and prepared using the skills she learned at DATS of Maryland. She also loves the positive atmosphere of the office with all of it’s positive coworkers – – which is why she’s usually beaming with a smile!
Outside of the office, you’ll find Eryca in the great outdoors. She rides horses, volunteers walking dogs for the Carroll County Humane Society, and runs 5k’s for different organizations.
Candace Childs | Orthodontic Assistant
Candace received her training at the YTI Career Institute. She has been in the dentistry field since early 2017, and joined our team in early 2018. Candace chose orthodontics because she wants to help patients feel good about their smiles, which can help them feel comfortable in their own body, but if she wasn’t doing orthodontics she’d chose dental hygiene – that’s how passionate she is about the dentistry field! Candace loves working at Premier Dental with Dr. Stern because she believes that our office ALWAYS puts the patient first. With a caring personality like Candace’s, the patients’ needs are the most important thing.
When Candace isn’t working, you might find her coaching kids on the soccer field, fishing, camping, or hanging out with her family, friends, and German Shepard puppy!
